A mini excerpt for The Photo C.E.O. (Spring 2024 Release)
We know booking new photography clients is a way to grow your business + sales. But a simpler way to growing your photography business + consistent sales is by creating an exceptional experience for your existing clients.
People confuse having an expensive on-boarding or off-boarding process or using expensive software for having an exceptional client experience.
Sure, giving a thank you gift is nice, but it’s not what makes or breaks your client experience.
Here are some interesting statistics:
A 5% increase in customer retention increases company profits from 25 to 95%.
It costs 16x more to nurture a new customer to the same level of revenue contribution as your existing, loyal customers. **This can also include time, labor and energy.
Investing in your current clients’ experience, will often pay dividends for you in the future.
A Personal Example:
In 2021, I had 11 photography clients. While 7 were new, my 4 repeat clients represented 48% of my gross revenue. Almost 50%! [Each repeat client I’ve had at least a one year working relationship with].
While improving your client’s customer experience requires more intention, it’s much simpler than you think. Let’s dive in!
3 Ways to Wow Your Clients
Streamline & Simplify Your Process. Our clients praise KIN Productions for our organized and streamlined process. We utilize only 2 software platforms to manage the flow of the project. 1 for onboarding (Dubsado) and 1 for project management (Asana). We do not overcomplicate the process for our clients. *We do use a 3rd party photo software program for client image downloads.
I love Asana for many reasons but here are my top 3:
You can write out each step of the process & group similar tasks into sections.
You can assign tasks to yourself and your clients. Assigning select tasks establishes accountability & expectations as you go throughout the process. You & clients can also check off tasks once complete. Great for those who love lists!
You can communicate within Asana. This is possibly my favorite feature. Instead of running the risks of losing correspondence in email, you can keep communication in one place with timestamps.
